View the full tutorial here: http://docs.phplist.com/ImportUsersInfo.

Create an Excel File
1. The first row of the Excel file must be for the field names only.
2. The email column must be named “Email”.
3. Other field names must have attributes associated with them that are EXACTLY as those in the attributes. (Manage Users > User Attributes > Add new attributes if needed).
4. Save a Tab Deliminated version of the file to upload.

Create a New List
1. Log into the PHP List program: Lists > Add a List

Import the List
1. Manage Users > Import Users > Import emails with different values for attributes
2. Select the list
3. Browse for the file
4. Test Output: Checked
5. Show Warnings: Checked
6. Overwrite Existing: If the email already exists on the database within another list, the only items that will be changed will be the fields that are being imported. This will not remove the email from lists that are already subscribed to unless that list is a field with a "0" in it on the import.
7. Retain Old User Email: Checked
8. Make confirmed immediately: Checked
9. Import

NOTE: There may be errors listed. Make sure that the entries look correct. If they do, click the "Confirm Import" link.

Note: Double check to make sure that the import is HTML or Text as required. If they are not, go to "Manage Users" to change all of the users as needed.
